History
Bocopa Winery was founded in 1987, uniting several wineries from Alicante in a common project. This union responds to the need to enhance the winemaking production of the area, which is protected by the DOP Alicante, known for its wines primarily made from Monastrell, an emblematic variety of the region.
Since its inception, Bocopa has worked to innovate and adapt to consumer tastes, thus reflecting the rich winemaking tradition of the region and the history of Alicante wines.
Philosophy
The philosophy of Bocopa Winery revolves around sustainability, being recognized as leaders in the organic and 'Bio' wine market. This pursuit of quality is evident in their diverse offerings, including the white wine Marina Alta and the sparkling wine Marina Espumante, which echo the winemaking tradition of Alicante, where the sun and Mediterranean climate impart unique characteristics to the grapes.
Bocopa strives for constant innovation, designing new products that appeal to a diverse audience while remaining true to its roots.
The vineyard
The winemaking landscape of Alicante, where Bocopa Winery is located, combines the warmth of the interior with the freshness of the coast. In the region, the Mediterranean climate favors the development of dry-farmed vineyards, which manifest in a privileged natural environment.
This landscape witnesses a winemaking heritage that dates back centuries, with production spanning vineyards in the Vinalopó areas to the coastal Marina Alta and Baja.
