Bodegas Vicente Gandia

History

Bodegas Gandia, with a history dating back to 1885, is a beautiful reflection of the rich winemaking tradition of the DOP Alicante.

Since its inception, the winery has been dedicated to the production and marketing of wines, being a pioneer in 1971 by commercializing bottled wine in the Valencia Community.

This centenary winery has transitioned from being a local producer to exporting to more than sixty countries, incorporating Finca Hoya de Cadenas since 1990, which has expanded its influence in the international market. In 2014, it was recognized in a prestigious international competition, consolidating its reputation in the wine world.

The winemaking landscape of Alicante, characterized by its Mediterranean climate, is marked by the diversity of its grape varieties, such as the emblematic Monastrell and the aromatic Moscatel de Alicante.

This region has been shaped by the history of Fondillón, an aged red wine that was celebrated in European courts, reflecting the richness of the local terroir.

Bodegas Gandia has embraced this heritage, committed to quality, while cultivation and production adapt to the rhythms of this vibrant land. Alongside its tradition, the winery is also focused on innovation and sustainability, reflecting a philosophy that seeks to contribute to the well-being of society.

It is fascinating how in this space, history, passion for wine, and the unique environment of Alicante intertwine, where extracting the potential of each grape becomes an art in the hands of these dedicated viticulturists.

Philosophy

The philosophy of Bodegas Gandia centers on quality and innovation, aiming to create modern and elegant wines.

This approach is reinforced by its commitment to sustainability, maintaining practices that respect the environment and promote the health of the vineyard.

The winery produces a variety of wines ranging from the fresh Ceramic Sauvignon Blanc to the intriguing Irreal Ecológico, reflecting the richness of varieties that the Alicante region offers.

The use of local varieties, such as Monastrell, places Bodegas Gandia in a context where tradition and contemporaneity coexist in harmony.

The wines of the winery are not only a tribute to the winemaking heritage of Alicante but also an expression of the territory and its ability to offer unique products in every bottle.

The vineyard

The vineyard of Bodegas Gandia stretches over 61 hectares in the heart of the DOP Alicante, where the Mediterranean climate and the natural environment combine to produce grapes of exceptional quality.

This winemaking landscape is home to vineyards that thrive under the bright sun and sea breeze, creating an ideal microclimate for cultivating various grape varieties.

The beauty of the area is complemented by varied geography, including gentle mountains and fertile lands steeped in history and winemaking traditions.

As visitors walk through these vineyards, they immerse themselves in an environment where the history of wine is palpable in the air.

Strolling among the vines, with mountains and the Mediterranean landscape in the background, is an experience that nourishes the soul and allows for a connection with the rich winemaking heritage of Alicante.

Every corner of this territory tells a story and reflects the passion of those who have cultivated these lands for generations.
