History
Bodegas Finca Lagunilla is located in the area of La Lagunilla, to the north of Villena, almost on the border with Castilla.
It is part of the MG Wines group and is one of the wineries producing its own wine in Villena.
The vineyard, currently being restored, surrounds the winery in one of the coldest and highest locations in Alto Vinalopó.
Philosophy
Under the winemaking direction of Javier Verdugo, the winery produces site-specific wines that aim to reflect the cold and altitude of La Lagunilla.
The vineyard
Among pine and almond trees, the vineyards of Finca Lagunilla create a high Mediterranean landscape.
Monastrell, Tempranillo, and Macabeo are cultivated, alongside varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, and Petit Verdot.
