History
Bodega La Zafra, located in Monóvar, a municipality in the Vinalopó region, is the result of five generations of a family dedicated to viticulture. Although it started with one hectare of Monastrell vines, it now manages a total of seven hectares, all cultivated using organic techniques, without the use of chemical substances or added sulfites.
This winery reflects the quality and authenticity of the DOP Alicante, known for its rich viticultural diversity and its love for the winemaking tradition that has been passed down through the years in this region.
Philosophy
La Zafra's philosophy is based on the artisanal and natural production of its wines, expressing love for the surrounding land. Its practices include respecting the enological traditions of the region, utilizing indigenous varieties such as Monastrell, which is emblematic of the DOP Alicante.
The wines, ranging from reds and rosés to skin-contact whites, are a sincere reflection of the terrain and Mediterranean climate that characterize this beautiful area.
