History

Bodega Sierra Norte was founded in 1998, with the commitment to establish itself in the heart of the DOP Alicante. Since its inception, the winery has sought to connect with the winegrowing roots of the region.

Achieving this connection is reflected not only in the production of wines with a unique identity but also in the respect for tradition and sustainable practices that characterize the Alicante landscape. This denomination of origin, rich in history and tradition, champions native varieties such as Monastrell, which has been a symbol of the area's wines for centuries.

Philosophy

Sierra Norte's philosophy focuses on sustainability, as reflected in its commitment to organic and regenerative viticulture. By taking care of the environment, the winery aims to produce wines that evoke emotion and connect consumers with the essence of the territory.

The varieties they use in their harvests undoubtedly pay homage to the winemaking tradition of Alicante, where Monastrell stands out, but they also explore others such as Garnacha Tintorera, adapted to the unique microclimates of the region.

The vineyard

The wine landscape surrounding Bodega Sierra Norte is a delight for the senses, where vineyards with different topographies alternate in a Mediterranean climate. The interior, with its dry-farmed vineyards in the Monóvar and Villena regions, contrasts with the coastal areas of Marina Alta, where the sea air influences grape ripening.

This environment not only provides an ideal ecosystem for vine cultivation but also offers a unique palette of flavors that are reflected in the wines of the region.
