Sierra Salinas

History

Bodegas Sierra Salinas was founded in 2006, after five years of dedication and exploration of the potential offered by the wines of the province of Alicante. Located in Villena, within the welcoming region of Vinalopó, this winery has grown surrounded by a magnificent environment where winemaking tradition is palpable.

Since its inauguration by the Castaño family and subsequent acquisition by MGWines Group in 2013, it has continued to evolve with the goal of highlighting the best of the local terroir.

Philosophy

The philosophy of Bodegas Sierra Salinas focuses on enhancing the nobility of the Monastrell grape, an indigenous variety that plays a fundamental role in the production of its wines. Through respectful techniques, they aim to create more natural wines that authentically reflect the identity of the region and its traditions.

In this sense, their wine expressions, such as '1237' and 'Puerto Salinas', pay homage to the varieties that have made the DOP Alicante famous.

The vineyard

The vineyard of Bodegas Sierra Salinas spans a total of 92 hectares, where almond trees, olive trees, and vines coexist in a landscape of great beauty. The Vinalopó region is characterized by its Mediterranean climate, ideal for grape cultivation.

This privileged environment, coupled with careful attention to detail, allows the vines to thrive and produce grapes of the highest quality.
